Producer

Remote Position - Reports To: Chief Innovation Officer

What You’ll Do

Nurture Healthy Relationship
As a Producer at Storyland Studios you’ll be responsible for three crucial components of the studios
overall health—nurturing healthy relationships, driving tangible results, and building healthy
relationships. Yep, we said the relationship thing twice! We’re a relational organization that relies
heavily on a healthy partnership between our Senior Leadership and Producers with the common
goal of establishing long-term relationships with clients all while delivering exceptional work.

Steward the Story
Producers ensure that the story’s consistency and integrity are kept front and center for everyone
on the project. This is an exciting challenge as the expanse of our work is unique—combining 3
dimensions of storytelling—strategic, interactive, and spatial. Those dimensions cover everything
from architecture to branding, to concept illustrations, immersive experiences and digital development.
No matter the project or the discipline, you’ll advocate for each team to mind the story.

Build Client Confidence
It’s often said that a Producer is the “second smartest person in the room on every topic,”. Great
producers having a working knowledge of each discipline while leaning on the specific expertise
of the greater team. As the producer, you’re “in-charge” of the project and take ownership of the
final outcome and solution. That means you’ll need to become familiar with the client’s industry,
business, customers, and pain points. This enables you to field questions on the fly and respond
in a way that produces confidence and reassurance.

Grow Forward
We’re hiring for someone who will roll up their sleeves and add value on day one, but we also believe in the potential of every employee. We want you to grow, we want you to have a growth mindset and we’ll look to support that growth.

WHAT SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE

    and vision.
  • Become knowledgeable of the domains our clients exist in and able to offer guidance

    to help collaborate when needed.

Assistant Project Coordinator

Reports To:

Summary

Catch and Organize the Not-So-Little Things

The project management team carries a hefty responsibility at the studio and they manage a tremendous amount of detail. As a direct extension of the project management team, the assistant project coordinator’s job is to help the team succeed by catching the pertinent details and coordinating administrative tasks. You’ll catch the timeline dates, update the budgets, and make sure meetings are set to run smoothly, all the little things that if missed, are not so little.

Communicate, communicate, and yep… communicate

In project management, good communication is over communication—especially when everyone is remote. This person will clarify questions on scope, schedule or budget, repeat back what was agreed too and remind the project manager and project teams of the pertinent details. Project managers will depend on you to raise the red flag when you see something going off or a calendar item missed. Teams will come to depend on your ability to check and then double check that designers and developers have the info that need to complete their tasks. If they don’t you work to close the communication loop with the project manager to get the details and keep the projects moving forward

Learn the Ropes

Storyland and its sister studio, PlainJoe are involved in a tremendous breadth of project types. That means the assistant project coordinator will have a wonderful opportunity to see a broad range of projects and gather a breadth of experience. We want this person to grow and have a desire to grow into project management. That means we’ll expect that you take an interest in what we do, not be afraid to ask clarifying questions and seek to help in all sort of ways as you learn the ropes of what it takes to be a great project manager.

consolidations; closing the books on a monthly basis; and working with outside
CPAs—all support greater clarity on our financial position and health. Whew, that was
a long sentence.

Push Solutions
We’re looking for a strategically minded, and technically proficient accountant who is
able to manage multiple companies—aka, this ain’t your first rodeo and you probably
don’t prefer to drive in the slow lane. Storyland has a number of entities within its
portfolio and you’ll be exploring solutions, making improvements and optimizing
processes across all
of those entities.

Nurture Relationships
Relationships are a big deal to us. We treat our clients like close friends and our coworkers like family, family that we like, that is. Our core values reflect and support this
approach and everyone in the organization is expected to live into those values and
nurture relationships as we collaborate and work with one another.

Grow Forward
You’ll have the opportunity to build on what we’ve done and shape the future of our
accounting processes. Within that, we’ll expect and support your growth. We’re hiring
for someone who will roll up their sleeves and add value on day one, but we also
believe in the potential of every employee. Our organization is in an exciting time of
growth, and this position is a big priority. Help us grow, and grow with us.
